Our school opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.20pm - our total weekly compulsory teaching time is 32 hours and 55 minutes.

Woolston CE is the heartbeat of our community. We seek to provide a warm, welcoming environment rooted in Jesus’ teaching, ‘I am the Light of the World’ (John 8: 12)’

We place a high emphasis on developing strong links between home and school and fostering a caring Christian environment in which all children can prosper and fulfil their own potential.  We endeavour to make a positive contribution to the environment, the community and to society and to ensure our children develop into compassionate, global citizens.

Giving every child the chance to learn within a widely enriched curriculum is a high priority for us, and we strive for high academic standards; however, we are about so much more than this. We are about giving every child the opportunity to shine and be proud of their achievements, no matter how great or small. We are about giving children the confidence to have a go and giving them the opportunity to try out new things. We are about tolerance and respect for the beliefs of others and taking joy and pleasure from what others do well.

Our school mission statement is:

Working and learning together in the light of Jesus.  A community which celebrates God's love.  A warm and welcoming environment with Christian values at its heart, where children are encouraged to fulfil their potential and grow into honest, caring citizens.

As a result of this staff, Governors, parents and children, all work together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support that results in our children leaving us as exceptional, ambitious young citizens who have fulfilled their potential.

If you are interested in sending your child to Woolston CE, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Public Health Advice - Meningitis
Message from the Director of Public health in relation to the recent meningitis outbreak: We are aware of the ongoing meningococcal disease outbreak in Kent, which is currently being investigated by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). We understand that news of this incident may cause concern among pupil and parents , and we want to provide reassurance and clear guidance. At this time, the local risk in Warrington is assessed as low. The cases are geographically contained within Kent and linked to a specific exposure setting and close-contact networks. UKHSA is conducting extensive contact tracing and administering precautionary antibiotics locally. There is no evidence of wider spread beyond the affected area. Attached is a poster detailing symptoms to be aware of. In the instance of these symptoms prompt medical advice should be sought.
