Meet the Governors

Spencer Pritchard

Mr Spencer Pritchard (Chair of Governors)

I have joined the Governing Body in 2024 as a Parent Governor. My wife and I moved to the area roughly ten years ago, following which our son joined the school at the start of reception and is now in year 5. The role of parent governor is important to me as an opportunity to positively contribute to the ongoing running of the school, recognising the positive impact the school has had on our son and the important role it has within our community. I work as civil engineer, more specifically as a highway and traffic management engineer and have done so for over 20 years.

Mr Gareth Roberts (Vice Chair)

I joined the Governor team in 2024 as a Foundation Governor, on behalf of the Church of Ascension – I attend Padgate Methodist Church regularly.

I have a long relationship with the school, and I am proud that all three of my children have been part of such a nurturing and encouraging educational setting; two have gone on to secondary school and my third is enjoying Key Stage 2.

I am looking forward to supporting the school over the coming years.

I am joining the board of governors as Foundation Governor. I am a member of Lymm Baptist Church, where myself and my husband have worshipped for over 10 years now. My daughter and son both attend the school, and I am very much looking forward to being a part of such a lovely school community, and ensuring that Christ's love continues to be represented and reflected in the school's day to day workings.

Mrs Lesley-Ann Shorrock

I became a parent governor at Woolston CE a number of years ago, when my son first started in Reception. My daughter followed 2 years later and they both had an enjoyable and successful time there. The school gave them a good foundation both as individuals and academically.   During my time it’s been a pleasure to witness and work alongside very dedicated staff, who ensure the children receive the best possible education by providing a safe, caring, supportive and effective environment with many wonderful, memorable opportunities and exciting experiences.  Having worked in education for the past 27 years I am passionate about striving for excellence, I share Woolston CE’s vision that all children are individuals and should be supported and encouraged to develop not only on an academic level but also on a social, emotional and spiritual level. I believe that will equip them well for their adult lives and future. Moving to Woolston at the age of 4, being part of the community and attending the Church of the Ascension growing up and being involved in teaching young children, being highly committed and having high expectations is at the heart of everything I do.
